The benefit of a Vocational Education and Training (VET) system depends on the relevance of the competences trained. Thus, relevant competences must be identified and transposed into a functional curriculum. 

Emanuel Wüthrich from the Swiss Federal University of Vocational Education and Training presents the "Situated VET" approach, a coherent and holistic process in curriculum development.
